Miles was born September 12th, 1938 in Nebraska to Miles H Ruttan Sr. and Agnes D (Martin) Ruttan. He graduated Glennon High School Kansas City Missouri 1956 and Rockhurst (College) University 1967. He was an Eagle Scout, and joined US Navy in 1958. He spent a year on North Island Airbase and a year on USS Bennington CVA-20.
Miles worked at Missouri Pacific RR, Dick Richardson Printing while attending College, later taking his skills to TWA and retired around 2001. Traveling with his family to many countries and experiencing the history they held. He was always involved in his daughters' activities, driving to piano lessons, softball coach, YMCA Indian Princesses, high school and college cheerleading.
Miles was married to Sallie J (Pugh) Ruttan on June 2nd, 1962. The two were married for for 61 yrs. They grew up together as neighbors. They enjoyed many family pets over the years. Miles was a devout Catholic and member of Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, and daughter, Cindy G Ruttan DO.
Miles is preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia (Ruttan) Boydston, In-laws Albert T Pugh and Helen L Pugh and Brother-in-law Albert T Pugh Jr.
Burial is at White Chapel Cemetery and will be a private service with family.
