Migrated as a young unmarried man from the Paupack settlement to Mt Pleasant Twp, Wayne Co, PA in 1796, where he bought a farm. His brother Charles King came at the same time, and also bought a farm a few years later.
Lived in Pleasant Mt. as a farmer and did lumbering on the Lackawana and the Starrucca Creek.
