Misc. Notes
Mrs. JULIET - wife of Rev. GEO W. LEACH of the Wyoming Conference, died at her home in Tallmansville, Pa., on Sept. 27th, 1873; aged nearly 45 years.
Sister Leach was the eldest child of C. P. Tallman, an old and widely known builder of Methodism in. Wayne Co., PA, and she died very near the spot where' she first saw the light.
In 1849 she married Brother Leach, a member of the Oneida Conference, fully understanding the trials and privations attached to the Itinerants family and it is due to her memory to say that they were met with heroism and patience, worthy of the true Disciple.
The country was new, roads were rough, removals frequent, parsonages (usually rented) poorly furnished, salaries very small; but like a true daughter of Abraham, she staggered not at the promises of God, through unbelief, but believing herself in the doing of duty, bore her part unflinchingly.
Those who knew her best, feel that she is now enjoying the reward of the faithful and that she has well won the sentence, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."
