In the 1860 census she was living at the home of her brother, Truman Pierce listed as head, along with another brother, Almeron and her mother, Lucy Gibbs Pierce, all at Clinton Co, MI.
Marriage record lists her as Maranda.
Living with Oliver in 1880, listed as Mandan.
Listed as a boarder with Wareham and Celinda PIERCE (her brother) in 1900 as a dressmaker, unemployed 5 months that year; was mother of 1 child born and still living; widowed.
1905 MN state census (14 June 1905) lists Mandana as living with Wareham and Celinda Pierce and had been a resident of MN for 12 years and 11 mo thus having arrived in Minnesota approx. July, 1892.

--Oliver P. Tallman, who has been afflicted for some years with paralysis, and of late with softening of the brain also, died Tuesday, at the residence of his son, Edward L. Tallman, aged 63 years. Funeral services were held at the residence of the son on River street yesterday PM, being conducted by Rev. M. S. Waller. The deceased had many relatives hereabouts, and was well known in the community.
