Misc. Notes
According to Robert S. Conrow Jr - The family moved to Kansas about 1906 or 1907.
He is listed as age 5 with the family in Wichita in the 1910 census, and age 11 in the 1915 Kansas State census.
He had measles (or mumps) at age 10 and contracted encephalitis. In 1920 census, he is listed at age 15 with his father and step-mother.
In his late teens or early 20’s he started having fits, and for his own safety had to be institutionalized. Another version (from Jeanne Wells) is that he had scarlet fever, which resulted in epilepsy around the age of 15.
Although he grew physically he remained a 10 yr old mentally. He is listed in the State Hospital for Epileptics in Parsons, KS in 1930. He spent most of his adult life in an institution not far from Wichita, which was paid for by his brother Robert.
