Nuchim Blank arrived 1/30/1907 on the Kroonland from Antwerp, Belgium. His prior residence was Bryczany, Russia (which is near Novoselitza). He is described as age 17, 5’9” with hazel eyes.
His immigration record and WWI Draft registration list his birth as 1890, but WWII registration and death certificate says 1891, while his 2nd marriage record shows 1892.
Came over in 1907, then sent for Sadie and Ann, who arrived in 1911.
He is listed as 19, a lodger with Max Kieginer (his uncle?) in 1910.
Lived at 42 E. 9th St. in New York in Sept, 1911 when Sadie and Ann arrived, along with the someone from the Kieginer (his mother's) family.
He was naturalized in 1915 according to the 1920 US and 1925 NYC census.
In 1920 he is listed (30, Russia) with his wife Goldie (30, Austria) and daughter Ruth (3, NY) as well as his sister Sadie (23, Russia).
In 1925, Nathan and Goldie are listed as 35, which children Ruth (8) and Bernard (4).
He is listed in the Bronx in 1930 as a cutter in a Fur shop, age 40, married 17 years with his wife and children.
Was a Furrier.
In 1940 he is listed on E. 165th St working as a salesman (49, RUS) in a Fur shop. He had an 8th grade education, as did his wife Goldie (49, AUS). Daughter Ruth (23, NY) was an X-ray tech in a doctors office with a high school education, and son Bernard (18, NY) was in his 3rd year of college.
After the death of Goldie, he is listed as marrying Jennie (Mund) Egel in 1942, where his parents are listed as Selig and Miriam Blank, Nathan as a furrier born 2 Jan 1892.
At the time of Nathan’s death he was living with daughter Ruth and her family in Queens, and Jennie was not in the picture.
His Death Certificate lists his parents as Morris and Sarah Blank, wife Jennie as executor and informant his son Bernie. His birth date is listed as 2 Jan 2891.

Arrived in the U.S. alone at age 17 on the SS Astoria on 30 Nov 1903 from Rzesgow, Austria via Glasgow. Coming to join her sister Mrs. Sharfstein, 738 E. 147th, at whose home she was later married.
1920, 1940 census says she and her parents were born in Austria.
1930 census says she was born in Poland, and her parents in Austria.

Social Security record lists her birth as 26 May 1889, while her JOWBR and headstone shows 28 May 1884
Jennie is listed in 1910 as wife (26, POL) of Joseph Egel, married 10 yrs, having immigrated in 1902. It says they had 1 child, none of whom were living, could read & write, and was naturalized.
Listed as wife of Joseph Egel, Brooklyn in 1925 at age 35; with her mother Gertie Mund (65, Austria) as a boarder.
In 1930, she (46, POL) is listed with husband Joseph Egel (48, POL) running an Insurance company. It says she was first married at age 17, immigrated in 1902 and naturalized. Living with them was her widowed mother, Gertie Mund (77, POL).
Jennie Egel is listed as head of household, and Insurance agent (56, Austria), widowed and naturalized in 1940, with a lodger Anna Cohan (70, RUS) also widowed.
She is listed as Jennie Egel, born May 1894 on her marriage record to Nathan Blank, which also lists her parents. The marriage license was obtained on June 10th 1942, and they were married in October.
Nathan had died before she is listed in the 1950 census as Jennie Egel (65, AUS) a widowed Insurance broker living alone.
