Oliver Wells (20, OH) is listed in Des Moines, IA in 1920 as a lodger, working as a barber. Lived in Iowa and married his first wife, Mattie there later that year, where they stayed until she died in childbirth. After that he roamed around for about 7 years until he met Molly in CO. They were married in Sterling in 1929 and moved to north of Yuma where they farmed and where both children were born.
Listed in Magee in 1930. where Oliver (31, OH) was farming with Mollie (24, NE). And they had moved to Washington Co, CO by 1940 with the family now consisting of Oliver L. (42, OH), Mollie (34, NE) and children William Robert (8, CO) and Edna Viola (4, CO).
They moved back to Ohio for a short time in 1942, then settled in Sterling, CO with his wife and children until his death. He was a farmer and did carpentry later on. Retired in 1954.

Her grandfather came from Russia as a young man. Her father is William Perlenfein (38, NE) a farmer, and her mother Elizabeth (39, Russia) immigrated in 1902 and was naturalized in 1903, when they married.
She lived in Colorado since 1917. She is listed with her parents in Colorado in 1920.
She had an older brother, three younger brothers and a younger sister.
Was married previously to Dora Grubb, before marrying Oliver in 1929.
[Obituary]
Mollie M.Wells, 97, of Sterling, died April 1, 2003, in Sterling. Visitation will be 10 am. to 6p.m. April 4, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. April 5 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Elli Elliott officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Mrs. Wells was born Jan. 12, 1906 to William and Elizabeth (Klein) Perlenfein in Nebraska.
She moved from Nebraska to Yuma at the age of 2. She lived on the family farm until her marriage to Oliver L. Wells on Oct. 19, 1929, in Sterling. They lived in Otis and the Lone Star area, and later moved to Ohio. She then moved back to Sterling.
Mrs. Wells worked for the school system as a cook for ten years. She also did volunteer work for the Red Cross and the Congregational church, of which she was a member.
She is survived by son Bill Wells, Sterling; daughter Edna Johnson, Cheyenne, Wyo.; brothers Reinhold Perlenfein, Wichita, Kan., and Albert Perlenfein, Yuma; sister Naomi Ickes, Brush; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; brothers Wilbert, Alvin, Ted and Ed Perlenfein; and one grandson.
