Ruby C. Cathers, of Mansfield, passed away Monday morning January 7, 2013 in Mansfield Memorial Homes. She was 93.
Born Ruby Carolyn Wells April 11, 1919 in Perry Township to Clarence and Edna May (Irwin) Wells, and remained a lifelong area resident.
A homemaker, Ruby was a member of Perry Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and tatting. She read all the time, and had a treasured appreciation for flowers.
She is survived by her sister Barbara French of Mansfield, sister and brother-in-law Rebecca & Richard Chronister of Mansfield, sister Marjorie Keckler of Galion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Cathers in 1974. Also deceased are her sister Mary Wells; and brothers John Arden Wells, Harold Wells, Leland Wells, Marion Wells, and Warren Wells.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Lucas. Pastor TJ Waters will officiate. The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
