On 13 Apr 1825 Lyman Hill purchased all of his father’s farm and house on the lakeshore, “except the 3 acres on which Heman Hill built his house and now lives”, for $1,000. Jonathan and Lyman Hill signed an Indenture, agreeing that Lyman would pay all debts and care for his parents, Jonathan and Comfort Hill, for the remainder of their lives and allow them to live on the property deeded to him by his father. And that he would care for and maintain the property as well. Both documents were witnessed by Ansel B. Hill.
