Listed as born in Ohio in 1850, 1880 and 1895, but as born in Virginia in the 1870 census. Listed as Galaway on his marriage record.
He is listed as a farm laborer (30, VA) in 1870, with wife Abigal (30, VA), and children Mary A. (12), Amanda (7), and Benjamin (8 mos, born in Sept).
He is living with his father in the 1880 census (divorced or widowed?), with his son Franklin and daughter Amanda.
He and his father both signed affidavits for Joseph Wells in Jul 1883, substantiating Joseph’s good health before he entered the Army, and ill health when he returned until his death. They were for the pension benefits of Joseph's widow and son.
Thomas is next listed with the family of his son Benjamin in Iowa in 1895, but is not found with them in Indiana in 1900.

Thomas Andrew Galloway
Thomas Andrew Galloway died Friday night at his home in Monroe township at 8 o’clock after a month’s illness of Bright’s disease. The deceased, who was a widower, was about 77 years of age and is survived by one son, Frank, of Mansfield and one daughter, Mrs. Amanda Dowds of Monroe township. The funeral cortege will leave the house Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock sun time. Services at Ebenezer church. Interment at Ebenezer cemetery.
