He first married Jannetje Andries on May 3, 1717 in Flatbush. Soon after that they moved to Monmouth Co, NJ. He had 8 children by the first marriage. He remarried there to Sarah Schenck, and had 6 more children.
His will was made 19 April, 1764 and proved 28 Jan, 1766.
