Florence Jean Wells
MT. VERNON - Florence Jean Wells, 62, of Coshocton Avenue died Saturday evening at the home where she had lived for more than 50 years on Keck Road.
Mrs. Wells was born May 8, 1927, at Fredericktown to Fred and Daisy Oliver Wise, and had been a lifetime resident of Knox County. She was a member of the First Church of God in Mt. Vernon and the WCG of Loudonville.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Wade (Marilyn) Wolf of Butler and Mrs. Wayne (Carolyn) Wolf of Mt. Vernon; two sons, William and Larry Wells. both of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Nina Smith and Mrs. James (Linda) Burr, both of Mt. vernon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis, in 1980; a son, Roger, and two brothers.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dowds¬Wiggins-Snyder Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home by the Rev. Wade Wolf. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Knox County.

FREDER1CKTOWN - Willis B. Wells, 56, Mt. Vernon, RD 4, died Sunday of an apparent heart attack. He was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Middlebury Township, Knox County, and was a life resident of the Fredericktown area. He was employed by the B and O Railroad for 32 years, and served in the U.S. Army with an Infantry unit during World War II. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Post of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Florence Jean, two sons, William L. of Mt. Vernon and Larry at home, two daughters, Mrs, Wade ( Marilyn) Wolf of Butler and Mrs. Wayne (Carolyn) Wolf of Fredericktown, five grandchildren; three brothers, Cloyd of Fredericktown, Leonard of Loudonville and Carl of Mt. Vernon, and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Stevens of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Walter (Cecile) Larimore of Mansfield. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown by the Rev Joseph Smith. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
