Linda Lou Wells Jones Perone, 54, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at her residence after a long illness. There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ryans Steak House, 1515 Coshocton Ave., Mount Vernon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County, 302 E. High St., Mount Vernon 43050. Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon assisted the family with arrangements.

Lester Hal Jones, age 75, of Fredericktown, died Tuesday September 28, 2010 at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. Lester was born April 5, 1935 in LeRoy, Ohio to Charles Chester Jones and Laura (Downing) Jones. He served with the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957. Lester had been employed for thirty years as a machinist and quality control inspector at Gorman Rupp Company in Mansfield. He was a member of the Owl Creek Brethren Church in Ankenytown, was a member of the Dan Stone Post of the American Legion in Mount Vernon and was a life member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife Margaret (Zimmerman) Jones; daughters Linda (Eric) Jaycox of Ragley, Louisiana, and Sue Jones of Mount Vernon; sons Leo Jones of Mount Vernon and David Jones of Ravenna; stepdaughters Naomi Weirick, Rebecca Weirick and Nina Weirick all of Loudonville and Karen Minnear of Mansfield; stepson Victor (Lisa) Weirick of South Euclid; 7 grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren and his brothers Don (Noreen) Phillips of Green Acres, Florida and Roger (Jean) Phillips of Burbank, Ohio. Besides his parents, Lester was preceded in death by sisters Janet Phillips and Shirley Phillips and brother Billy Phillips.
Friends may call Sunday from 1pm to 3pm at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30am with Rev. Charles W. Barnhill officiating. Burial with military honors by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
