Irene M. Wells Bemiller, 89, of Loudonville, died Friday, November 25, 2011 in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville following an extended illness. Mrs. Bemiller was born June 10, 1922 in Knox County and was the daughter of the late Charles Elmer Davis (8 Jul 1884 OH - 6 Oct 1968) and Daisy Dell Wells (4 Oct 1885 OH - 1967), no relation. She was a 1940 graduate of Danville High School and had lived in Loudonville most of her life. Irene had been a clerk with the former Big Plus Store in Loudonville and the former Scheck’s IGA of Loudonville. She was a charter member of the Loudonville Church of the Nazarene. On June 12, 1941 she married Leonard Wells, who died Feb. 15, 1982 and on October 18, 1992 she married Brice Bemiller, who died Dec. 17, 2000.
She is survived by 2 sons: David (Kathleen) Wells of Loudonville and Eric (Penny) Wells of Lexington, 3 daughters: Patricia (David) Mowery of Loudonville, Priscilla “Kris” Wells of Sun City Center, FL, and Pamela Callahan of Mansfield; 1 step-son: Clarence (Norma) Bemiller of Ashland; 3 step-daughters: Josephine Leech of Butler, Wilma Brauchler of Cape Coral, FL and Dorothy (James) Bittinger of Butler; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 brother: Ray Davis of Palm Bay, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands; 4 sisters: Mary Swank, Ellen Fliger, Pauline Bemiller, and Virginia Stewart; 5 brothers: Roscoe Davis, Delbert Davis, Glenn Davis, John Davis, and Burlyn Davis; and 3 step-daughters: Vivian Schaffer, Lucy Morrison, and Retha Lee. Burial will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery, Butler.

Living with his parents in 1940, before his marriage to Irene. His marriage license was applied for in 1941, but they were not married until the following year.

LOUDONVILLE - Leonard D. Wells, 64 of 304 Loudon Ave., died Monday afternoon at his home following an apparent heart attack. Services will be Thrusday at 1:30 pm at Byerly Funeral Home in Loudonville with Pastor John Miller, Loudonville Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Butler. Friends may call Wednesday after 3 pm at the funeral home.
He was born in 1917 in Petersburg to Omar and Datura Rinehart Wells and married the former Irene Davis on June 11, 1942. She survives. He was employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation in Perrysville for 18 years, retiring in 1980.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, David of Loudonville and Eric of the home; three daughters, Mrs. David (Patricia) Mowery of Loudonville, Priscilla Wells of New York City and Mrs. Donald (Pamela) Callahan of Ontario, Ohio; five grandchildren; a brother Cloyd, of Fredericktown, and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Stevenson(sic) of Pataskala, Ohio and Mrs. Cecil Larimore of Mansfield.
Two brothers, Willis and Carl, died previously.

BUTLER - Benjamin Brice Bemiller, 94, of 16660 Mishey Road died Sunday morning, Dec 17, 2000, in his home after a short illness.
He was born March 12, 1906 in Newville to Emerson and Elizabeth Palmer Bemiller and was a lifelong Butler area resident.
He is survived by his wife Irene Davis Wells, whom he married October 18, 1992; a son and daughter-in-law Clarence “Bud” & Norma Bemiller of Ashland, 6 daughters and 4 sons-in-law: Lucille & Kenny Morrison of Fredericktown, Retha Lee of Tampa, FL, Josephine Leech of Butler, Wilma & Edward Brauchler of Cape Coral, FL, Dorothy & James Bittinger of Butler, and Vivian & JeffShaffer of Bellville; 5 stepchildren and their spouses Patricia & David Mowry of Loudonville, Pam Callahan of Mansfield, David & Vicki Wells of Loudonville, Kris Wells of New Jersey, and Eric Wells of Butler; 23 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, 9 step grandchldren, and 5 step great grandchildren; a sister Mary Snavely of Bellville; and special friend and nurse Tari Bowman.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Pauline Davis Bemiller with whom he spent 65 years of wonderful marriage; a son Dwayne Bemiller; a brother Charles Bemiller; and four half sisters Mabel Bowman, Grace Bowman, Gladys Bowman and Pearl Pritchard.
