Ianne L. Wells, age 77, of Danville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She was born on July 10, 1938 in Covington, Kentucky the daughter of Lowell and Elva (Blankenship) White. After relocating several times for work, Ianne and her husband, Richard, moved back to Knox County in 1992 to their Haven of Wildlife. She enjoyed feeding the ducks and birds, taking care of her flowers and cross-stitching. Ianne took first place from the Knox County Garden Club for her flower garden and also took first place in the Danville Christmas lighting contest. She liked to bake and cook and loved being a homemaker. Ianne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Richard O. Wells, whom she married on August 31, 1957, her children, Jeffrey (Patricia) Wells of Mount Vernon, James Wells of Circleville and Carolyn Suzie (Phillip) Pfingsten of Elyria, three grandchildren, Wendy (Jim) Adams, David Wells and Amy (Kel) Hannum and a sister, Janet (Dave) Clements of Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Ianne was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a funeral service will be held on Friday beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Thom Fowler will be officiating. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in Bunker Hill Cemetery near Butler.
