BELLVILLE: Gayle Carlene Snyder passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Samaritan Regional Health System in Ashland. She was 69.
She was born November 22, 1947 to Carl & Frances (Green) Back in Bellville. Gayle graduated from Bellville High School with the class of 1965 before going on to take three years of college classes at Ashland University.
On March 27, 1977, she married Don Snyder and together they shared 39 years of marriage.
Gayle worked as an X-ray technician and as a title researcher. But her skills as a homemaker and artist is how she will be remembered. She even started her own business called Dragonfly Pottery. She was also a skilled quilter and basket weaver.
In spare time, she took pleasure in reading (especially mystery novels), birdwatching, flower gardening (daylilies and succulents) and doing genealogy research. But above all, Gayle cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by husband Don Snyder; son Ben (Renee) Kunkel; grandchildren Brennan, Schuyler, Lilianna and Sawyer; brother Jamie (Ruth) Back and best friend Sandy Overholt. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The Snyder family will receive friends Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. A private graveside will be in Bellville Cemetery.
