Misc. Notes
He and his brother Jacob served in the Revolutionary War. He gave his Oath of Allegiance in Lancaster Co. in 1775. Shortly after the war ended, Jacob and his brother Peter left Pennsylvania. Peter is documented as early as 1784 living in Hampshire Co, WV.
By 1810 both brothers are found living in adjoining counties in Kentucky -- Peter in Nicholas Co. and Jacob in Harrison Co. And by 1820 both men had settled in southern Indiana -- Peter in Dearborn Co. and Jacob in Gibson Co.
Peter had a son named Jacob (date of birth unknown) who was part of Peter's family on the long migration westward, with the family eventually settling in Dearborn Co, Indiana in the early 1800s. Jacob, his wife, and 5 children were enumerated in Dearborn Co, IN on the 1820 Census. Unfortunately, Jacob (son of Peter) died in 1821 leaving his wife, Elizabeth, with 5 children under the age of 6. (Elizabeth subsequently married a William Baker.)
