He was a farmer & teamster and lived to age 90. He was married twice:
1. Emma Elder--b 16 Nov 1871; d 23 Aug 1907; married 24 Mar 1895; they had 5 children before she died: Iley May, James Leslie, Nettie Blanche, Clarence Glen, and Denzil Ross. She is buried at Lazear's Chapel.
2. Blance Mae Summers--b 28 May 1883; d 29 April 1959; buried at Middlebourne Cemetery; she had one child (Willard Randolph Bacon) before her first husband Samuel Bacon died.
George and Blanche married on 4 July 1909 and had 6 children: Ethel Virginia, Harold Harmon, Geraldine Marie, Gordon Gail, Bruce Burl and Edward Ellsworth.
