Miss Elizabeth Hemphill, of Chaunts, Kansas and Mr. John W. Conrow. of Manhattan, Kansas, were married in this city Monday afternoon at the Methodist parsonage. The ceremony was performed by the pastor, the Rev. C. S. Rennison. The wedding was witnessed by Miss Leta Todd and Mrs. C. S. Rennison

BETTY CONROW
Betty Conrow, 88, Manhattan, died Oct. 31, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Conrow worked at Manhattan City Hall and later for the Texas Contractor Magazine in Dallas.
She was born April 26, 1910, at Chanute, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hemphill. She was reared in Chanute and moved to Manhattan in 1936. She lived in Dallas from 1970 until she moved back to Manhattan in 1977.
Mrs. Conrow was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Manhattan.
She married John W. Conrow Jan. 26, 1936, at Hamburg, lowa. He died May 31, 1967. She was also preceded in death by a son, Warren A. Conrow, in 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Conrow, Fayetteville, Ark., and Stan Conrow, Richland Hills, Texas; four sisters, Dorothy Hilger, Ozawkie, Hanna Lee Grote and Peggy Grillot, both of Palm Harbour, Fla., and Kathryn Fiskin, Placentia, Calif.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grand-children.
Services were Nov. 4 at the First Presbyterian Church, Manhattan. Burial was at Sunrise Cemetery, Manhattan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas State University Foundation General Scholarship Fund and sent in care of the Edwards-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, Manhattan.
