Mrs. Wm. Scarbrough died at her home near Galesburg on Thursday, June 15th, aged 45 years, 5 months and 16 days. She was a daughter of Capt. Joseph Hewitt, and was married to Wm. Scarbrough, Dec. 22, 1870. To them were born four children, only two of them now living. She has been a member of the Mt. Zion M. E. Church since 1883. The funeral was held at the M. E. Church in Galesburg on Sunday, June 18th, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Elias Handy.
