She is then listed as Belle W. Lewis in 1940, a widowed teacher (48, OH) working as secretary of the private Allen Home school (for the Colored) in Asheville, NC. It confirms that she was living in Wheeling, WV in 1935.
Listed in 1950 as Belle Lewis a widowed Bible Teacher (65, PA), still in Asheville.
