“In records of NY Biographical & Genealogical Record Vol 56, 1925 it states that she came with her parents to New Amsterdam on the Detrouw 12 Feb 1659. We believe she was born in Voorthysen, Gelderland Holland in 1652. She came with her brother Jan Harmansen, Neeltje Harmans, Gysbertje Harmens and Ryckje Harmens.”

Birth date 1630 - 1635
Hendrick Malysen Smock emigrated to America in 1654, having married Geerje Hermans, who died in 1708. He settled in New Utrecht, purchased land in 1665, took the oath of allegiance in 1687 and was a magistrate from 1669 to 1689. His children were, Matthias, Johannis, Marritje, Lecudert, Sarah, Martyntje and Rebecca.
