He purchased a lot on the border of Baileyville and Alexander from Isaac Lane and wife for $125. 1850 - Family consisting of John and Ann A. (both 30) from Ireland, Sarah (6) and John (4) born in Maine, plus his father John Robb (81) born in Ireland. Next a plot of 25 Acres from Michael Shortell for $75 in 1850, which he subsequently sold to John O'Brien of St. Stephen for $50 in 1854. Another parcel of 50 Acres was purchased from Timothy Daly for $300. The deed listed him as John Robb 3rd! He (or his estate) sold this land to his brother Francis for $800 in 1863. In 1860 the family was John Robb (2nd) age 46 with $400 land & $150 property listed as a common laborer from Ireland. His family consisted of Anestatia (42, Ire) his wife, Sarah (19) and John the 3rd (14) both born in Maine, and John Robb the 1st (95) born in Ireland. He subsequently bought 30 Acres on the Talmage Plantation for $75 from James M. Hunt in 1860. He supposedly was killed in 1860 when the timbers gave away under the corner of the house he was building.
1870 his wife and son are listed living with the family of daughter Sarah, near his brother Francis.
