Pauline G. Grehl, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the age of 95 at Mayfair Village due to unseen consequences of vascular dementia. Her husband of 60 years, Charles Grehl, passed away in 2009. Pauline is survived by her son, Tom; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was born March 17, 1917 on the family farm in Richland County to Jay and Pearl (Eller) Gaddis. The last surviving of five girls and two boys, she began school in a one room school house, graduating from Bellville High School in 1934. She attended Bliss College. Upon arriving in Columbus, Pauline developed a deep appreciation for the sermons and music at Indianola Church of Christ. After graduating from Bliss, Pauline preceded to work at Ohio State Life, Wellnitz Block Co., and White Castle Systems until her son was born. A longtime resident of Upper Arlington, Pauline was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was a 60 year member of Lorraine Chapter #1 OES, where she and Charles were past Worthy Matron and Patron in 1974 and she served as Grand Page in 1983 and a member of Ladies Oriental Shrine. Pauline and Charles were members of the Columbus Maennerchor and Merrymakers Dance Club. She was a member of the Honey Bears and Twig #27, Children's Hospital. Pauline, along with Charles, managed the regional branch of Lewis Roberts Printing Inks until they retired in 1982. For the last five years, she was a "welcomed" resident of Mayfair Village, where the entire staff, along with the staff at HomeReach Hospice, went out of their way to make her feel at home. Pauline cherished the many lifelong friendships that developed through her work, Eastern Star, church and social clubs. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012. Rev.
