Was PFC US ARMY WORLD WAR II after enlisting at Fort Hayes in Columbus on 13 Feb 1945.
He had children with his first wife, Alice, who divorced him in 1975 after 36 years of marriage, based on the grounds of Gross Neglect/Extreme Cruelty.
A second wife, Barbara M. Gaddis also divorced him in Richland Co on 30 Dec 1981 for the same reason, a couple years before his last marriage to Lois Walker. He was widowed and had a companion when he died.

Clark J. Gaddis, 86, of Main Street, Bellville, died Tuesday evening August 23, 2005 in Knox County Community Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born December 27, 1918 in Bellville to Jay Lewis and Pearl (Eller) Gaddis, and attended Bellville High School.
A World War II army veteran, Clark served his country in the Pacific Theater.
In addition to his farm, Clark worked for Mohican Trucking as a driver retiring in 1990.
He was a member of Irvin Hiskey Post #535 American Legion, and Amvets Post #43, Bellville as well as VFW #5101 Robert L. Castor Post, and the Lexington Moose Lodge.
Clark was your typical workaholic who could always be found busy in the fields on his Fredericktown farm, sparing only his ears to take in a Cleveland Indians game on the radio as he farmed.
When he wasn’t hard at work in the fields, Clark devoted his free time to horse pulling, belonging to both the Buckeye Horse Pullers Association and founding member of the Fredericktown Western Saddle Club.
He is survived by his friend and companion Ethel Dudley of Mansfield, his daughter and son in law Vivian D. and Charles Hill of Fredericktown; four sons and daughters-in-law Harmon C. and Rita Gaddis of Mt. Vernon, Delmis L. and Terry Gaddis of Fredericktown, Donley J. and Debbie Gaddis of Cardington, and Randy L. Gaddis and his fiancée Vicki Wilson of Albany, Missouri; nine grandchildren LeeAnn Hoobler, Elaine Johnson, Karen Diaz, Brent Gaddis, Jeff Gaddis, Lynette Squires, Trent Gaddis, Tami Cunningham, and Sonny Gaddis; a step grandson Caden Wilson; twenty great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law Pauline and Charles Grehl of Upper Arlington; a sister-in-law Ernestine Gaddis of Mt. Vernon; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Ann (Walker) Little Gaddis on April 24, 1996, a brother Clyde Gaddis, and four sisters Marcella Boner, Geneva Mowry, Kathryn Moree, and Martha Leedy.

Alice M. Gaddis Pittenger, age 91, of Miami Ave., Fredericktown, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Knox Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 12, 1919 in North Liberty, Ohio to the late Percy and Effie (Gower) Crunkilton. Alice worked as a cook for 13 years in the Fredericktown school system. She was a member of the Lexington Senior Citizens and the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellville. In her free time, Alice enjoyed cooking and baking. She will be sadly missed by her loving family.
She is survived by a daughter, Vivian (Charles) Hill of Fredericktown, four sons, Harmon (Rita) Gaddis of Mount Vernon, Delmis (Terry) Gaddis of Fredericktown, Donley (Deborah) Gaddis of Cardington and Randy (Lisa Pierce) Gaddis of Albany, Missouri, a step-son, Chet (Jeannie) Pittenger of Bellville, two step-daughters, Sheri (Carl) Bricker of Mansfield and Leslie (Lowell) Balliett of Bellville, nine grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, 17 step great grandchildren and a brother, Donald (Helen) Crunkilton of Mount Vernon.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clark Gaddis, her second husband, Carlos “Curt” Pittenger, four brothers, Dale Crunkilton, Sterl Crunkilton, Virgil Crunkilton, Percy Crunkilton, two sisters, Dorothy Stone and Vera Richert.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 48 Church Street, Bellville, Ohio 44813. Rev. Douglas J. Pretorious will be officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
