In 1850 he was listed as a farmer (age 28) with his wife Sarah (24), 3 children (Marion, John and Melissa) and 2 hired help?
There is a land record signed by Wm and Sarah when they sold some land to Dixon and Silliman. (I have not gotten a copy)
Married 6 Nov 1855 in Knox Co. to Phebe Cornwell by N. Martin, recorded Marriage Book ?, pg 500. In 1860 he was listed as a farmer (age 50) with wife Phebe (26), Marion, John, plus 3 more sons and 2 daughters. He had $500 of land and $120 of property. In 1870 he is listed as a farmer (age 46) with wife Phebe (36) and children William, George, Jane, Mary, Charles, and Frank - all born Ohio. In 1880 he is listed as a farmer (age 59) with his wife Phebe (48), and son George plus two more sons and a daughter. He is living adjacent to the family of his son John. It lists his parents as being born in PA. In 1900 he was listed with his wife, son Frank and dau Mary. He was listed as married 44 yrs, with Phebe having 6 children, 5 living. His parents were born in PA. He owned his home free and clear.
Owl Creek Cemetery record lists only 1821-1902! It is located on NE corner of Owl Creek Rd and Prairie Rd in Morgan Twp. It was Baptist since 1808.
