1860 census: Listed with his parents as Benj L (23, OH) farmer, deaf & dumb.
1870 census: Listed next to his parents as B.F. Galaway (34), wife Rosetta, age 35 and daughter 1/12.
1880 census: Benjamin Galloway (44, OH) farmer; Rosetta (40) wife; Melville (10); Ina (5); Adolphus (3). Both Benjamin and Rosetta are shown as being both deaf and dumb.
The Special Census on Deaf family marriages in 1890 shows them in Billings, Missouri and lists his father and spouse, then shows all their children as hearing and and one as dead at this point.
By 1900 they had moved to Missouri and are listed as Benjamin Galloway (May 1836, OH) married 30 yrs to Rosetta (Dec 1839, OH), with son Leon A. (Oct 1881, MO), with 4 of their 6 children living.
