In 1910 he is listed as an instructor (20, PA) in a correspondence school in Scranton, with Norman and Laura Hine who show him as a cousin - apparently only because his grandfather married Mary Hine, sister of Norman's father, Ira.
He was living in Berks Co, PA when he registered for the WWI Draft.
He married Grace Hirsefield in Philadelphia, PA.
