Frank attended schools in Lancaster (1934-43), and Philadelphia, PA (1943-1946).
He worked for the Crystal Palace Roller Skating Rink in Philadelphia (1943-1946). Subsequently employed by the Baldwin Industrial Laundry, and Bayuk Cigars, prior to leaving home for Ashtabula, OH, where he worked for Electro Metalurgical Co, and eventually for a tannery.
In December 1947 he entered the Navy at Philadelphia, PA. Frank had no birth certificate, and entered the Navy using a Baptismal Certificate. The surname was transcribed as MacCallister versus McCallister. All subsequent recordings were made as MacCallister; including his current children.
Naval Service 1947-1967, ServiceNo 254-10-04, Retired as AMHC, 3 July 1967 at NAS, Lakehurst, NJ. Service tours included NAS Alameda, NAS Miramar, NAS Moffett Field, NAS Lemoore, and Fleet Forces Pacific, VF52, VF 124, VF 154, VA 126, VA 127, VP 22, USS Valley Forge, USS Boxer, USS Coral Sea. Transferred to NAS Lakehurst in 1963; where he retired 7/3/67.
Upon retirement from the Navy, he accepted a position as a Systems Analyst in the Data Processing Dept, Quality Evaluation & Engineering Laboratory at NWS Concord, CA retiring in 1981 as a Supervisory Computer Specialist, GS-12.
