Misc. Notes
He was a journeyman Auto Body repair man until 1977 when he moved from Kincaid to Estevan and took a position as the Auto Appraiser for SGI (Saskatchewan Government Insurance). He worked for them for 25 years and then retired. He and Sharon currently live in Roche Percee (a small community about 20 Kilometers East from Estevan just off Hiway 39) where he has a taxidermy business that he works at, out of his yard. They are about 5 miles from the North Dakota border.
Mel still puttering in the taxidermy shop. He thought he had a young guy coming into train and eventually take the business over. Alas, the younger generation are not as dedicated as we were. He takes in fewer jobs each year but still doesn't seem to find time to catch up on the stuff in the freezers from previous years. [2017]
