Listed with Alexander, incorrectly under the “Robb” surname in 1850, along with daughter Levina A. born that year; living with her parent’s family.
She, Alexander and their 5 children are then listed with the surname of Brownell in 1860. Alexander (35, IRE), Mary (28, ME), Ann (10), Mary E. (6), Samuel (5), Sarah (3), and Frances (10 mos).
In 1870 she is listed as Mary Brownlee (38, ME) with her children Samuel A. (14) and Elzina J. (8).
In 1880, she was living in Woodland (Baileyville) with husband John Spearin (1832-1908). Also in the home are Sarah (22), Elzina (18), and Samuel A. (25) Brownlee with his wife Ella (25) and children Mary E. (2), and Alonzo L. (1 mo). They are adjacent to Hugh Robb and Jacob Bailey.

Misc. Notes
Alexander Brownlee/Brownell married Mary, daughter of Edmund Bailey and had a daughter Ann born in 1850. He and his family are listed in the 1850 census for Washington Co with the Robb surname, and are living with the family of his wife’s parents Edmund Bailey and Sarah Robb. So it appears that the census mistakenly listed his family with her mother’s maiden name.
The ages of Alexander, Mary and Levina A. are consistent with those in 1860 census, where they are listed with Brownell as their surname.
Alexander drowned before the 1870 Census. In later census reports the name of his widow is reported as Brownlee.
