He married first 22 Nov 1737 Ann Conover (b. 23 March 1720, d 18 Aug 1739), married second 5 Feb 1741 Mary Johnson (b 25 Aug 1721, d 7 Nov 1767), married third Catrina Holmes. Issue three sons and six daughters. He was the great grandfather of the Rev. Dr. William E. Schenck, Secretary of the Presbyterian Board of Publications, Philadelphia.
