Helen married Fulton Haskins on 21 Oct 1930.
She graduated from Woodland High School and attended Teacher College in Machias. She was a lifelong member of St. James the Greater R.C. Church, Our Lady of Woodland, Catholic Council, the Woodland Women's Club, the Child Health Clinic, and the Spednic Club. She is survived by a daughter, Pauline and her husband, Galen Hopkins, of Bangor; a sister, Kathleen Robb Splitz of Yarmouth Port, Mass.; and a devoted daughter-in-law, Blanche Haskins of Baileyville. She was predeceased by her husband, H. Fulton Haskins in 1989; and son, Robbert G. Haskins, in 1979. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Mary Ellen Sites of Bangor, Robin and her husband, Terry Fitzherbert, of Eliot, Harold Hopkins of Bangor, Nancy and her husband, Michael Howe, of Dedham, Steven Haskins of San Francisco, Calif., and Frank and his wife, Keila Haskins, of North Grafton, Mass.; four great-grandchildren, Julia and Andy Howe of Dedham, and Keisha and Robbert Haskins of North Grafton, Mass.; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. At her request, there will be no visiting hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2005, by the Rev. Frank Morin, at the St. James the Greater R .C. Church in Baileyville. Committal services and burial will take place at a later date to be announced. A cremation service of the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, Calais.
