A blacksmith by trade, a man of much physical strength and vigor. In Mansfield, Connecticut where he married Elizabeth Barrows. Lived, in early part of life, in eastern part of town, but in latter part at Mansfield Center, where he died. Respected and esteemed by his neighbors and fellow citizens.
