In 1870 he is listed as a farmer (34, NY) with his wife Louise (30, NY), and dau Lulu (2, NY).
By 1880, they had moved back to Ellicott, NY where he is listed in manufacturing, with his wife Louise and daughters Lulu E. (12, NY) and Josephine G. (9, NY). They are listed there also in the 1892 New York State census.
In 1900 his family is still in Ellicott, he is working as a laborer in a bicycle works, and they have been married 38 yrs, with 2 of their 3 children still living. Their daughters Lulu E. (Aug 1868) and Gracie (May 1872, PA) are still living at home.
