Misc. Notes
Son of Elijah Dix (b. 1744 Leicester, MA) of Williamstown, MA who married Margaret Clark in 177 before enlisting in the Rev. War.
In 1791, he and his father spent the summer working their land in Wayne Co, PA and then left for the winter. The next summer Elijah brought his entire family consisting of eight children to live in the log cabin that had been constructed the previous year. He had previously been a man of some wealth, but had lost most of it due to the depreciation of the Continental money. He hoped to create a future for his family in this new home. So in the winter of 1792 they were one of the 4 families to live there.
