Son of Benjamin Haynes and Sophie Smith. Abram and Louisa remained in Wayne County for a few years and then moved to Wisconsin. In the 1850 PA census, he is listed as Abram Hains, age 51, born in PA. In 1856 Louisa and a daughter were killed in a train wreck at Grand Crossing IL. Abram buried his wife and child in Wayne Co. and after two years moved back to Wisc. He was married again to Phebe, and is listed in the 1860 census for Wayne Co as Abm Haynes (50, NY) with Phebe (50, NY) and children Celesta (15), Florence (13), Elihu (11), Lewis (10), Ed (8), and Elinor (5).
He later returned to PA where he died at the age of 76. He was a democrat and a member of the Methodist Church.

Married Abram Haynes in 1842 according to Descendants of Brittain Tallman from Wayne Co Hist Soc based on Ruth Allen Smith book.
In 1850 they are listed in Luzerne Co, PA, where he is listed as Abram Hains (51, PA) a farmer, and Louisa (28, PA) along with children Benjamin F. (13, PA) - apparently a son from a previous marriage, Florence C. (8), C. S. (6), Elihu (3), and Lewis (1).
In 1856 Louisa and a daughter were killed in a train wreck at Grand Crossing, IL.
