Betty Ann Babcock, 63, Topeka, died Monday, June 14, 1999, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Babcock was the office manager for the Schroer, Rice Law Office in Topeka until she retired in 1997.
She was born June 13, 1936, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Oscar Wynn and Blanche Gerber Schrey. She was raised in Leavenworth. Mrs. Babcock attended Calvary Baptist Church in Leavenworth, and later the First Baptist Church in Topeka. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association and an avid bridge player.
She married Irvin R. Babcock in August 1963 in Smithville, Texas. They were divorced. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth V. Winter, Omaha, Neb.; a son, Jimmy Joe Babcock, Topeka; a sister, Vicki Popp, Wichita; and a grandson.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church. Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth is charge of arrangements.
Burial of cremains at Mount Muncie Cemetery in Lansing will be private.
