Jennie was married to Jesse James Brasel and to that union a son, James Neil Brasel and one daughter, Susan Jane Brasel were born. She divorced Jesse in 1939 and moved from East St. Louis, IL to Hampton, IA. In 1947 she married Clifford J. Atchison, and they were living in Hampton in 1950 when her father died and Marshalltown, IA in 1967 when her brother died. No children were born to that marriage, but they were married 48 years.
