He registered for the WWI draft in Corning, Steuben Co, NY where he worked as a glass blower; he was listed there in 1920, and her brother Clarence was living with them.
By 1930 he was a foreman at the Glass Works, they had been married since age 25 and had a daughter Rita H. (8, NY) and son Robert J. (7). Also living with them was Helen's mother, Margaret A. Young (61, PA) who was first married at age 16.
