Presque Isle - Keith Ferris, 76, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home in Presque Isle. He was born in Easton on May 28, 1945, the son of Walter and Alice (Hayden).
He attended school in Easton and graduated in Presque Isle. He was inducted into the Army on October 26, 1965 (in his words kicking and screaming). He served 2 years at Fort Knox in Kentucky and returned to civilian life in 1967 where he worked at Aroostook Shoe and Converse later leaving the area to work at Maytown Shoe in Pennsylvania returning home in 1989 to open an automotive repair shop in Easton where he has served the community for 33 years. He loved working with the people of Easton and enjoyed life to the fullest
He is survived by his wife whom he loved dearly, of 53 years Sally Sylvester and one son Colin K. Ferris and his wife Michelle (Reinecke) Ferris, Colin was the joy of Keith's life and said he was the best thing that he ever did. Two grandchildren Onora and Breccan whom he loved with all his heart. A sister Patricia Wieder many, many loving nieces and nephews who he loved so very much.
He was predeceased by a brother Glendon and his wife Mary Cahill, sister Constance DeMerchant and her husband Earl, Ruth McKenzie and her husband Leroy.
