Birth1837, Ireland
Death19 Feb 1922, Franklin Co, NY

Misc. Notes
1860 Census for Chateaugay they are listed, he at age 30 and she at age 23 which would put her date of birth closer to 1837. It also lists her as being born in Ireland. The census also shows son Frank, 3 months old as their only child.
In 1870 she is listed as age 30, born in Canada, and they have children Hiram (13, CAN) who must be her son from a former marriage, plus Samuel (10, NY), William (7, NY), and Christine (4, NY).
In 1880, Reuben is listed as a farmer (49, VT) with Margaret (42, IRE) and children William (10), and Frank (8).
This leads to the presumption that the first son Frank, Samuel, and Christine had all died prior to 1880; and needs to be integrated with the family history that they had two children, Christina (1865-1879) and Frank (1865-1881).

The following was taken from a Dec. 28, 1888 Chateaugay Record newspaper -
The death of Mr. Reuben Cook, announced in another column, present some rather curious features or rather his illness does. He had been sick for about two years and during most of the time complained that there was something in his stomach that came up into his throat nearly choking him. His hunger was marvelous, nothing seeming to satisfy it. Everything was done for him that medical science conld conceive, but to no avail. After his death, which occured Sunday morning, Dec 23rd, an autopsy was held, resulting in the recovery of a full grown lizzard in his stomach. Mr. Cook was a long time resident of Chateaugay and was respected by our community, who will regret to learn of his death.
