There are various theories as to how Honora ended up in America. It is thought she was kidnapped on the Irish shore near her home. There is speculation that she was kidnapped by the British or pirates. She ended up in America where she was initially bought by William Logsdon and eventually became his wife. They were married in Port Tobacco Village, in Charles County, Maryland on 19 September 1702 by a Catholic priest.

Son of James (of/Anthony) Logsdon and Jane James (unproven). William may have asked to enter Maryland 21 Jan 1674, arrived 1677. The Maryland records say he was transported in 1673. Land records [Liber AM-1 page 148] show his purchase of 300 +/- Acres as a tract named Brotherly Love 22 May 1730. After Mason-Dixon survey of PA - MD state line it is believed that this tract was in PA. There is a court case concerning the murder of a Mr. Diggs on this property in which John Logsdon is asked to testify.
