FREDERICKTOWN
Harry L. Toms, 68, of 453 N. Main St. died Sunday morning in the emergency room of Knox Community Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.
He was born March 22, 1918, in Ankenytown. He had been employed for 38 years at White Westinghouse in Mansfield, from which he retired in 1980. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fredericktown. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bechtel one son, Jacque C. Dechant of Fredericktown; one grandson; and one brother, Fred of Fredericktown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burr and Lillie Wells Toms. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home, Fredericktown, by the Rev. Barbara Morrison.
Burial will be in Ankenytown Cemetery. Calling hours are this evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
