GOE, AMY IRENE-Aged 77 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Howard Porter, E. Millsboro, Tuesday morning, February 10, 1953 at 7 o’clock. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Bateman Goe. She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Susan Swartz Laughlin. She had been a lifelong resident of Jefferson Township and for the past five years has resided with her daughter, in East Millsboro. She was a member of the Little Redstone Presbyterian Church and the Missionary Society of the church. Surviving are one son, Robert Shotwell Goe of Baltimore; two daughters, Mrs. Iva Porter of East Millsboro and Mrs. Margaret Hays of Washington, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. M. A. Clark and Mrs. William Horton Teggart, both of Brownsville; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Friends are being received at the Ross Funeral Home, Brownsville where services will be conducted Thursday afternoon February 12, at 2:30 o’clock with Dr. W. Paul Ludwig, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church of Washington officiating. Interment will be in the Redstone Cemetery.
