James H. Wells
LAKE SAN MARCOS - James Howard Wells, a resident of North County for eight years, died at his home Tuesday. He was 67. Bom in Pueblo, Colo., Wells lived in California for 43 years. He was a manager for Western Airlines for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Lynne. A memorial service is to be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Allen Brothers Mortuary in Vista. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the International Aerospace Hall of Fame, 2001 Pan American Plaza, Balboa Park, San Diego, 92101

Lynne Parkins, 88
SAN MARCOS - Lynne Thies Wells Parkins, 88, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at her home.
Born April 1, 1914, in Arkwright, N.Y., she lived in San Marcos for 30 years.
She was a school principal for the Los Angeles Unified School District for 29 years. She was a member of the Lake San Marcos Garden Club and the Delta Kappa Gamma and Phi Lambda Theta sororities. She was a world traveler.
Mrs. Parkins was preceded in death by her first husband, James H. Wells, in 1981; second husband George A. Parkins Jr., in 1996; and brothers Hank R. Thies, in 1993 and Earl Thies, in 1965.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at Lake San Marcos Recreation Lodge, 1105 La Bonita Drive in Lake San Marcos. Private cremation is planned.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Helen Woodward Animal Center, ATTN: Developments, PO Box 64, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067.
