Married Lt. Alton Boyd Ciscoe III (b. 11 Sep 1945, Scranton) on 26 Aug 1967. She served as a Nurse in Vietnam, and her husband was Green Beret. She wrote a history of the family for a college course in 1977, and died of cancer.

Suzanne Ciscoe
Suzanne M. Ciscoe, 42, of Denville, N.J., died Thursday at her home following a long illness. Her husband is Alton B. Ciscoe. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Phyllis and Gerald Smith, she graduated from South Catholic High School in 1964. She was a registered nurse and received her training at the Community Medical Center. In 1968, she volunteered to Join the U.S. Army Nurses Corp, where she had initial training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. She.completed a tour of duty at the 12th Evacuation Hospital, CuChi, Vietnam in 1969, receiving the Army Commendation Medal in recognition of her many medical dust off missions. In 1971 she was selected to appear in Outstanding Young Women of America. She continued her nursing career as Head Nurse of the Obstetrical Nursing Department, Episcopal Hospital, Philadelphia, holding this position for many years. Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer, at home; two sisters, Geraldine McDonald, Scranton, and Christine Smith, Swiftwater; a brother, Michael, Phoenixviile. Memorial services will be held at the Hollisterville United Methodist Church, Sunday, 2 p.m., with the Rev. Betty Reilly and Rev. Daniel Ling, officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Hollisterville Cemetery Association Inc., co Mr. Patrick G. Chapman, RD 5 Box 5272 Moscow, Pa., 18444. Military services will be held at a later date.
