Name spelled Fleenor and Fleener.
Rush County Probate records mention Sarah Fleenor, wife of Thomas Wells. It appears that her father, Adam Fleenor (1781-1824) had died and she and her sibs became guardians of Isaac Fleenor. Isaac and others later petitioned the court to sell Adam's land and this record, May 1840, indicated Sarah had died. It also mentions Isaac's heirs and notes "...John T. Wells an heir of Sarah Wells - late Sarah Fleenor..."

Thomas stood bond for (his sister) Elizabeth Wells' marriage to Samuel Blake in 1831.
He is listed in 1840 census for Franklin Twp, Marion Co, IN (indexed under Thomas Wills) with: male 1=5-10, 1= 30-40 female 2 < 5, 1=30-40
Listed as farmer (44 KY) in the 1850 Indiana census near his half brother, Richard. He was with his (2nd) wife, Emily and 3 sons plus 3 daughters; the oldest son being from his first marriage.
Listed as a mason (68, KY) with $3,500 of land in 1860, along with 9 children; where the oldest daughter is listed as Nancy E. (when in 1860 she was listed as Mary). (sic, they were all listed as born in Kentucky)
By 1870 they had moved to Madison County, and he (66, KY) had a $2,000 farm, where they are listed with children David, Phoebe, Hulda and James.
He is still listed there in 1880, as a brick mason age 72. It lists his parents as born in Maryland and Virginia. His daughter Phoebe and son James are living with him and Emily.
