Excellent cook, hard-worker, good business sense, and raised 6 kids to boot. To them were born six children - Harlan, Juanita, Harold, Geneva, Ross and Sherman.
In 1940, she is listed with with Loren (53, IL) who was working as a laborer in a stove factory, both having completed the 8th grade.
She was living in Merriam, KS in 1979.

Mrs. Mamie Butler, 102, of Naples Drive, died yesterday in Heartland-Holly Glen Nursing Home, where she had lived a month. She was the widow of Loren Butler. Surviving are her sons, Harlan, Harold, Ross, and Sherman; daughters, Mrs. Juanita Schulze and Mrs. Geneva Saltzgiver; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, IL. There is no visitation, but arrangements are by Walker-Feilbach-Buehrer Mortuary, Talmadge Road.
