At some point Verona m. a Hauge but he beat her so she divorced him and never remarried or had any children, and took her maiden name back. She was living in Minneapolis in 1938. Before going to Calif. sometime after 1949, she was in a sanitorium in MN, unknown location but "out in the country". She had severe TB and smoked on top of it so had emphysema...had a lung removed, even. She was "so sweet" and a "happy" lady, in spite of her illness and described as "a tiny little woman".
